Chart formations, there everywhere, lets take a look !

Formations are all over the stock charts, there are good and bad ones. There are small ones and large ones, with a trained eye you will soon spot them quickly and when you do mark them up on the chart.

This is a channel form on "exp" 12-8-06

A stock is not always trending, sometimes it goes sideways for awhile that is called consolidation, consolidation can take a few forms, a channel form, a triangle form, a bull flag, a bear flag,a head and shoulders form , a wedge etc...

I will show you some of the basic forms here and how to trade them and how to calculate how far the stock should go once it breaks out of the consolidation form.

Stock charts are like a radar screen, once you know what to look for that stock cannot move without you, knowing it a head of time and you will be ready to trade it, as soon as it breaks out of the formations.

These are symetrical triangles on " brcd "

Here is a wedge, a strong formation " rti "

Here is a reverse head and shoulders 12-8-06

Here is a cup and handle, very strong! usually takes 6-12 months to form, big move afterwards. " ati " 12-8-06

Here is another cup and handle "wtsla" wetseal 12-8-06

There are other formations, like descending channels, ascending channels, bull flags, bear flags, descending triangles, ascending triangles, sideway channels, double tops, triple tops, double bottoms, triple bottoms, head and shoulders, reverse head and shoulders, island reversals, 1-2-3 tops, 1-2-3 bottoms.etc... I will show these as they develop on the charts with notes and how to trade them. This is timing, so it`s very important when we see them forming.

Happy trading!
